The purpose of the I-70 PEIS Project Leadership Team (PLT)
The purpose of the I-70 PEIS Project Leadership Team (PLT) is to lead, facilitate, and mediate the completion of the Final PEIS for the I-70 Mountain Corridor. The PLT provide input on the completion of the Final PEIS and will focus on specific action items needed for the Final PEIS. The membership includes representation from CDOT, FHWA, Garfield County, Eagle County, Summit County, Clear Creek County, Jefferson County, and the Rocky Mountain Rail Association. Meetings are held at the CDOT Mountain Residency at the Eisenhower Johnson Memorial Tunnel and will be announced on this webpage . Project leadership Team Operating Principles [PDF]
The PLT is authorized to establish Issue Task Forces to that include stakeholders and experts to address a specific issue. ITFs report their recommendations to the PLT after which it will be dissolved. The I-70 PEIS PLT has established two ITFs; one to recommend mitigation strategies for environmental impacts and another to recommend mitigation strategies for community related impacts. Both ITFs had a kick-off meeting on August 28, 2009 and are expected to meet during the Fall of 2009 and report out to the PLT in November 2009. Please click here to reach the ITF webpage. |
