In the spring of 2008 the Collaborative Effort Team completed their work in coming to agreement on a recommendation for transportation improvements to the I-70 Mountain Corridor.
The next Collaborative Effort meeting will be:
June 25, 2009 from 12:30 – 4:30 at the CDOT Residency, 425 Corporate Circle, Golden, CO.
This Consensus Recommendation [PDF (63Kb)] will serve as the preferred alternative in the Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement.
The CE wrapped up their efforts in June 2008; the group will re-convene in early 2009 to review and discuss the comparative analysis of the CE Recommendation. A close out report was generated that documents the CE.
The Collaborative Effort is an element of the PEIS and has been designed to facilitate the stakeholders in discussions about the transportation alternatives for the I-70 Mountain Corridor. The CE Team is a 27-member group [PDF(74Kb)] that includes representatives of different interests in the 144 mile corridor, including local governments, highway users, transit, environmental, business and recreation, as well as state and federal agencies. Working with independent facilitators, the team met regularly at various locations in the corridor; the meetings were open to the public for observation with brief opportunities for public comment.
