Statewide Transportation Advisory Committee (STAC)
STAC members provide advice to the Colorado
Department of Transportation and the Transportation Commission on the needs of the transportation system in Colorado and they
review and comment on all regional transportation plans submitted by the transportation planning regions and/or CDOT
(C.R.S. 43-1-1104). The STAC Bylaws provide more detail about their roles and responsibilities. Rules pertaining to the
Statewide Transportation Planning Process and Transportation Planning Regions (2 CCR 604-2) provide information on
transportation planning requirements.
STAC members represent 15 metropolitan and rural Transportation Planning Regions throughout the state. Colorado has five
metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) and 10 rural transportation planning regions (TPRs). There are also non-voting
representatives from the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe in southwest Colorado.
STAC Meetings:
Meetings are typically the Friday before the Transportation Commission meetings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the
Colorado Department of Transportation headquarters office, 4201 E. Arkansas Ave., Denver, CO 80222. Any new meeting
